How sacred the tips of the country are!
Believing that once having come to these places, everyone loves the country more, wishes to pay tribute to the ancestors who carved the S-shaped motherland strip, and also wants to do many useful things for the homeland and the country.
Emotions well up under Lung Cu flagpole
I am fortunate to have visited the Lung Cu national flagpole standing on top of Dragon Mountain in Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, Ha Giang province a few times. Each time of respectfully bowing under the sacred flag on the roof of the Fatherland (1,468 m above sea level), I am filled with emotions and pride about the mountains and rivers of Vietnam.

After many times of restoration and upgrading, the Lung Cu national flagpole was built following the model of the Hanoi flagpole with a total height of 33.15m. Its octagonal base has eight reliefs featuring important historical milestones of the country, and the cultures and history of indigenous ethnic groups. Above are eight bronze drums. Following the initiative of Dong Van district officials, a 54m2 wide flag symbolizing 54 ethnic groups living together in a large family of Vietnamese nation, was used, instead of the previous smaller one.
On the first Monday morning of the week, border guards and local officials held a flag-raising ceremony. But the most touching is the flag raising ceremony on the North Pole on the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year. Amid the spring time and the national anthem sounds under the red flag with a yellow star flying, pride and love for the Fatherland and people are multiplied in each person.
Heroic Ca Mau Cape
The first time I came to Ca Mau was more than ten years ago, but I still remember every little detail. We, journalists, all came to Ca Mau for the first time, so everyone was eager to visit Dat Mui. About 30 minutes later, the speedboat took us to the southernmost point of the country.

It rained harder and harder, the whole group got drenched. Despite the danger, the thirst for discovery prompted each of us to once see how sacred the "cape of the Fatherland ship" is.
It was a patch of mangrove and Avicennia forest reaching out to the East Sea. After each wave, each bunch of roots of Avicennia, mangrove, and melaleuca trees appear like giant hands digging deep into the mud, keeping the soil from being eroded. Over the years, where alluvium is deposited, the forest grows there. Each year Dat Mui advances to the sea a few meters.
Amid the green forest and the blue sea is a observatory standing high with the country's flag proudly flying. Bearing the image of a mangrove tree, which was chosen by Ca Mau province as a symbol, the 21m-high observatory represents the 21st century and its 54 steps symbolise 54 ethnic groups.
Truong Sa - Vietnam in the middle of the ocean
After two days of crossing the sea, the ship brought our delegation to the port of Truong Sa Lon island at midnight. The ship anchored for the members to take a rest. The next morning, we went to the island.

The ship whistle sounded, at exactly 7am, our group went to the island. Two rows of navy soldiers greeted the delegation. In a respectful and solemn atmosphere, the working delegation and soldiers and people on the island performed a flag-raising ceremony and reviewed the honor guard.
On the top of the sovereignty marker, the crimson national flag flutters amid the waves from the four sides, the images of the sacred souls of the mountains and rivers and the soul of Vietnam mixed with the National Anthem resounding majestically seem to urge people to come closer together and love the Fatherland more and more.
