Import export turnover hits over 327 million USD on Tet holiday

(BGO) – The total import and export turnover in Bac Giang province hit over 327 million USD during Lunar New Year occasion, reported the Customs sub-department in charge of Bac Giang industrial zones (CSD).

From January 22 – 29, the CSD cleared 1,623 declaration sheets with total import export turnover of over 327 million USD, including 1,088 import sheets for import worth more than 209 million USD.

Major import export products were electronic components, solar panel production material.

The biggest trade partner of provincial businesses came from China, Republic of Korea, the US, India, Japan and Spain.

On this occasion, the CSD assigned staff on duty regularly to instruct the enterprises to proceed the customs declaration procedure quickly and smoothly.

Currently, more than 400 companies are operating in the industrial parks with over 195,000 labours. The production and technology capability has been improved, helping boost up the development of other economies, create job to labour, increase the budget collection and switch rural career structure.

In 2022, Bac Giang earned total import export revenue of over 44 billion USD, increasing 40 percent year on year and exceeding 16 percent of the yearly target. The result made Bac Giang into top 10 provinces and cities with highest export turnover nationwide.
