Israeli technology helps preserve lychee fruit

The technology can help maintain the natural red color of lychee’s peel as well as the fruit’s flavor, avoiding the lychee’s peel to turn brown after three days. With the system, lychee will maintain its red color in 4-5 weeks.
The chain is designed flexibly, with a capacity of 1-70 tonnes per hours and an automatic classification of lychees to their sizes.

Currently, the Center selected, built and issued the GlobalGAP certificate to 20 hectares of lychee grown by 32 households in Chao Cu hamlet, Giap Son commune (Luc Ngan district). As the schedule, the foreign equipment will be transported to site in May then installed and put in operation as the approved project.
The project execution period lasts from 2016 to the end of 2018, totally worth over 21.3 billion VND (934,900 USD) mobilized from the Central and provincial budgets for science and technology.
