From the early morning, the local people and visitors offered incense to pay tribute to the national hero Le Loi, the Kings under the Le dynasty, heroes, generals and the people who have made great contributions to the national construction and defence.
The festival opened with an anniversary ceremony, featuring many traditional rituals such as a palanquin procession and worshipping ceremonials.
An art programme, themed ‘Lam Son’s spirit shines forever’, featured meticulous and unique performances praising the merit of the King Le Thai To as well as the predecessors and people who joined the Lam Son Uprising against the Chinese Ming invaders to gain national independence 601 years ago.
Many songs highlighting Thanh Hoa’s development during the Doi Moi (renewal) and development period were showed at the programme.
Notably, folk music performances and games are the indispensable parts during the two-day event.
