(BGO) – Thanks to
climate condition, the lychee in Tan Son commune, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang
province) is ripe later than the fruits grown at other localities. With good
appearance and quality, it is sold at high price.
The Agriculture Encouragement Staff in Tan Son commune Nguyen Duc Huu said the commune has more than 700 ha of lychee, including 7 growing area codes to export to the markets of Japan, Australia, the US, France and other with total area of over 30 ha.

Total productivity is expected at over 7,500 tonnes. Now Tan Son commune has about 2,000 tonnes of fruit while most of the low land localities basically completed harvesting lychees.

Many companies have directly come to the garden to buy the fruits at high price. The commune has more than 30 major weighting points and 50 scattered ones. The fruits are consumed smoothly at increasing price day by day.

Before exporting to China, all lychees are soaked in cold ice water to keep the freshness.

As schedule, the lychee harvest season will complete on July 15 in Tan Son commune.
