There include 169 persons at the age of 100 (born in 1920) to receive the gifts from the President and 2,314 persons at the age of 90 (born in 1930) to receive the gifts from the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

Most of the older persons live in the districts of Hiep Hoa (4,089 persons), Lang Giang (3,346 persons), Tan Yen (3,122 persons) and Luc Nam (3,019 persons).

According to the Resolution No 13/NQ-HDND regulating the gift value to the longevity anniversary of the local elderly approved at the 7th Meeting of the 18th provincial People’s Council, the gift value is increased for each age group.

Particularly, the 70 and 75 year old persons are presented 300,000 VND (up 100,000 VND); 80 and 85 year old persons are presented 400,000 VND (up 100,000 VND); 95 year old persons are presented 700,000 VND (up 200,000 VND) while people above 100 years old are presented 1 million VND (up 300,000 VND).

The older persons at the age of 90 will be presented a gift and cash worth 750,000 VND (up 350,000 VND); the 100 year old persons will be presented 5 meters of silk (same) from the President and cash worth 1 million VND (up 500,000 VND).

The provincial Association for the Elderly instructed the grassroots chapters to coordinate with the local authorities to well prepare the condition to organize the longevity anniversary to the older persons formally and economically.
