(BGO) - According to Chairman of the
People’s Committee in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) La Van Nam, the
district has issued the plan to organize Luc Ngan trade fair of orange, pomelo
and signature products in 2020. The three day event is scheduled on November 20
- 22 at the district central square with about 80 booths.
The fair includes two regions of booths to exhibit, introduce and sell the signature products in and outside the district as well as the commercial pavilions to launch the Programme “High quality Vietnamese products” to respond to the Campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese products”.

The district leader informed about several new features this year such as the district will actively connect the visitors to experience the fine fruit orchards; the visitors can enjoy accommodation service right at the orchards; the local authority opens online trading platform of local fruits, auctions the fruit trees and orchards with high quality and good looking fruits, invites several localities with concentrated fruit growing areas in an outside the province.
Thanks to the favourable climate and soil condition, the citrus cultivation area in the district has been recently expanded up to nearly 7,000 ha and annual productivity of nearly 50 - 60,000 tonnes.

Particularly, this year output of local citrus fruit is estimated at 60 - 70,000 tonnes, up 7 - 10,000 tonnes comparing to last year figure. Now it is the harvest season of green skin pomelo in Luc Ngan district with smooth consumption at selling price of 30 - 40,000 VND per fruit.

Trade in Bac Giang province informed that this year the lychee consumption is
smooth with total consumed output of 70,000 tonnes of fruits sold at average
price of 20 – 48,000 VND (0.86 – 2.07 USD) per kg since early season, mostly in
Luc Ngan district (34,000 tonnes); Tan Yen district (over 15,000 tonnes); Luc
Nam district (nearly 12,000 tonnes); Yen The district (nearly 8,000 tonnes)...
