Lychee enjoys smooth consumption, 70,000 tonnes of fruits sold

(BGO) – The Department of Industry and Trade in Bac Giang province informed that this year the lychee consumption is smooth with total consumed output of 70,000 tonnes of fruits sold at average price of 20 – 48,000 VND (0.86 – 2.07 USD) per kg since early season, mostly in Luc Ngan district (34,000 tonnes); Tan Yen district (over 15,000 tonnes); Luc Nam district (nearly 12,000 tonnes); Yen The district (nearly 8,000 tonnes)...

According to Vice Chairman of Luc Ngan district People’s Committee Nguyen The Thi, apart from domestic traders, now 87 Chinese ones complete 14 day isolation and are eligible to buy lychee directly at the purchasing points. Thus, the lychee consumption is easier.

VietGAP lychees are harvested in Nhap Thanh residential area, Chu town (Luc Ngan district).

These Chinese traders are still strictly and regularly monitored by the health agencies for next 14 days to ensure the Covid-19 prevention and control as well as smooth lychee consumption.

To date, Bac Giang province has 500 weighting points, 365 of which are fixed at Luc Ngan district.

Adding to the domestic markets and export to China, several companies such as Rong Do Trading and Service Company Limited, Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company, Chanh Thu Fruit Import Export Co.,Ltd; Toan Cau Import Export JSC...have bought more than 10 tonnes of lychee grown under VietGAP and GlobalGAP to export to Japan and Singapore.

Bac Giang exports first batch of lychee to Japan
(BGO) – Ameii Vietnam Joint Stock Company (JSC) and Chanh Thu Fruit Export Import Company Limited (Co.,Ltd) on June 18 bought lychee in Tan Son and Ho Dap commune, Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) to export to Japanese market.

(BGO) – The Steering Board for Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang province) on June 16 granted the Certificate of Medical Quarantine Completion for pandemic prevention to 21 Chinese traders to buy lychee in Luc Ngan district. Thus, they started buying the fruits directly from June 17.
Over 37 tonnes of lychee sold via MoMo pocket
(BGO) – After one week selling Luc Ngan lychee online via MoMo pocket, to date over 37 tonnes of fruits have been sold online to customers in Ho Chi Minh city.
Bustling atmosphere in ripe lychee season
In the early days of June, people in the two districts of Thanh Ha (Hai Duong province) and Luc Ngan (Bac Giang province) harvest lychees in a husty and eager manner. The 2020 crop is looking to to be a fruitful season for lychee farmers, with production levels and selling prices both increasing.
