“Lychee kingdom” looks to conquer demanding markets

Lychee, a specialty of Luc Ngan district, northern Bac Giang province, is expected to soon become one of the most choosy markets in the world - Japan - marking a major step in Vietnamese agricultural products reaching out to the globe.

Chinese traders start buying lychee
(BGO) – The Steering Board
for Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control in Luc Ngan district (Bac Giang
province) on June 16 granted the Certificate of Medical Quarantine Completion
for pandemic prevention to 21 Chinese traders to buy lychee in Luc Ngan district.
Thus, they started buying the fruits directly from June 17.
Over 37 tonnes of lychee sold via MoMo pocket
(BGO) – After one week selling Luc Ngan lychee
online via MoMo pocket, to date over 37 tonnes of fruits have been sold online
to customers in Ho Chi Minh city.
Bustling atmosphere in ripe lychee season
In the early days of June, people in the two districts of Thanh Ha (Hai Duong province) and Luc Ngan (Bac Giang province) harvest lychees in a husty and eager manner. The 2020 crop is looking to to be a fruitful season for lychee farmers, with production levels and selling prices both increasing.
Bac Giang lychee well consumed at supermarkets and restaurants
(BGO) – As of June 14, Bac Giang province
has sold more than 54,000 tonnes of lychee. Apart from the foreign markets,
many provinces, cities, big wholesales markets nationwide, the fruits are now
well consumed at many supermarkets and restaurants in the province.
Lychee consumed to export to US market

Vina T&T Group on June 11 started buying lychees in Luc Ngan district (Bac
Giang province) to export to the US.
