According to some traders, the price of lychees for export ranges from 20,000 VND to 37,000 VND (0.88 - 1.62 USD) per kg, depending on quality. At present, lychee trucks are cleared quickly, with no congestion. However, according to the Lang Son customs agency, now is the peak of the harvest so the lychee export volume starts to sharply increase.
In order to ensure stable prices and avoid oversupply, lychee exporters should regularly watch information from the provincial Departments of Industry and Trade on the purchase of Chinese counterparts. This helps them proactively regulate the daily harvest and export.
According to Be Thi Thu Hien, deputy head of the Plant Quarantine Department Region VII, this time fresh lychees are quarantined first. Since the beginning of the crop, through inspections, fresh lychees for export have met quality requirements.
