Addressing the event, Politburo member Hoang Trung Hai applauded the efforts made by the children who overcame their difficulties and gained excellent academic performances.
The Mid-autumn celebration was a gift from the city’s leaders, he said, expressing his hope that the event would bring the participants a lot of joy and happy memories.
He stressed that the city’s authorities have directed the relevant sectors to organize a range of activities for children to make a merry Mid-autumn festival from early August. The leaders of the city also presented gifts to disadvantaged children on the occasion.
