Nearly 200 billion VND invested to upgrade the power grid system

BAC GIANG – The Northern Power Corporation has just assigned Bac Giang Power Company (Bac Giang PC ) to implement the 2023 additional capital plan and the 2024 plan with a total cost of nearly 200 billion VND (8.5 million USD).

The amount will be used to repair and upgrade the power grid, ensure power supply to serve people's daily needs during the 2024 Lunar New Year and the summer.

Specifically, Bac Giang PC is assigned to implement 17 investment and construction projects, including to build and renovate 40.95 km of medium voltage lines; build 108 substations with a total capacity of 24,650 kVA; build and renovate 287.78 km of low voltage lines...

According to the plan, the construction categories and volumes must be completed before March 31, 2024. In particular, Bac Giang City Power is assigned to exchange, upgrade and build new 43 substations (8 substations in the city and 35 substations in Yen Dung district).

Currently, the Bac Giang City Power has completed upgrading and building 14 new substations and renovating thousands of meters of lines.

Some substations in Bac Giang city have been upgraded such as Nhan Le substation in Song Mai commune with capacity of 320 kVA up to 560 kVA; Xuan Phong 2 substation in Tan Tien commune with capacity from 400 kVA up to 560 kVA...

Representative of Bac Giang City Power said that the unit strives to install all the substations in the management area before 2024 Lunar New Year so as to ensure save and stable power supply to the households during the Lunar New Year and 2024 summer.
