Nguyen Thi Oanh crowns champion at VP Bank Hanoi Marathon 2022
The Bac Giang born athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh was the first to reach the finish line at women’s 42.195 km category at the event after 2 minutes 50 seconds 26, helping her break old record of Pham Thi Hong Le at 2 minutes 55 seconds 42 in 2019 event.

Oanh shortened down her own record from 2 minutes 56 seconds 07 down to more than 5 minutes. Nearly one month ago, she successfully crowned champion at the same distance of Techcombank Hanoi Marathon 2022 after 2 minutes 56 seconds 07.
Trinh Quoc Vuong defensed his champion title in 2020 after 2 minutes 29 seconds 12 at men’s marathon (42.195 km).
Starting at 4am on October 16, this year event was held safely and successfully with the participation from more than 10,000 athletes, 3,000 of whom registered to full marathon.
Besides, the event featured half marathon (21.0975 km), 10km and mini marathon (4.2 km).
VP Bank Hanoi Marathon 2022 became the biggest amateur marathon in Vietnam. This year event also attracted 1,000 foreign players from many countries in the world, helping to mark the coming back of international event in Vietnam after long hiatus due to Covid-19 pandemic.
