Especially, several owners in Thanh Hai commune (Luc Ngan district) earned more income thanks to the increased number of tourists visiting the orchards and buying the fruits, hence the selling price is higher than the average one in the district and other localities in the province.

“With the stable price and good consumption as present, we expect to earn some 1.2 billion VND (51,900 USD) from the sweet orange orchard of my family”, said a farmer in Se Cu village, Thanh Hai commune.

The above mentioned orchard has 700 trees of 7 year old sweet orange. Because the orchard is cared under VietGAP procedure with guaranteed food safety and good appearance, the orchard was selected by Green Dream Education and Experience Company Limited (Green Dream) in Bac Giang city to ink the coordination agreement to be a destination to welcome the visitors to enjoy fruit harvesting experience.

The sweet orange hear is sold at 60 – 65,000 VND (2.6 – 2.8 USD) per kilogram, 10 – 15,000 VND higher than the normal price in the market.

Similarly, Green Dream also coordinates with an orchard of yellow orange in Se Moi village, Thanh Hai province to be a tourism destination. Thanks to the bio safety caring procedure, the orchard bears eye catching fruits that are bought at 25 – 30,000 VND per kilogram, 10 – 15,000 VND higher than that of other orchards.

Additionally, the sweet pomelo of Tran Van En in Tan Truong village, Thanh Hai commune weekly draws many visitors. Each pomelo is sold at 25,000 VND, 5-10,000 VND higher than other orchards in the locality.

Now, En has about 400 pomelo trees with over 10 years old which helps his family earn some 1.5 billion VND (64,900 USD). It is also another destination in the contract with Green Dream to welcome the visitors.

En happily shared: “The visitors are mostly from Hanoi who pay special attention to the product quality and appearance, especially the fruit safety, thus higher price is out of their concern”.

To date, Green Dream has inked the agreements to take the visitors of Hanoi based travel agencies to harvest the fruits and experience the orchards of orange and pomelo in Thanh Hai commune.

After directly visiting the orchards laden with high quality and delicious fruits, most of tourists bought a lot of orange and pomelo to bring home as the gifts for the relatives and friends.

According to Green Dream representative, since the 2019 Fair for orange, pomelo and signature products of Luc Ngan district (December 1, 2019), the Experience Center of Green Dream in Thanh Hai commune has welcomed nearly 1,000 visitors from such travel agencies as Trans Vietnam Tour, Vietbiz Tour and Viet Hung Tourist.

The new model to welcome the tourists to visit, experience and buy the fruits at the orchards in Luc Ngan district is warmly responded by the orchard owners.
