Over 8,500 identification cards issued to prioritize transport vehicles in green lane

(BGO) – Because many provinces and cities nationwide have imposed social distancing order in line with Prime Minister’s Directive No.16 for Covid-19 prevention and control, commodity transportation encountered a lot of difficulties.

To facilitate the transportation vehicles, especially consuming farm produce, the Department of Transport has issued more than 8,500 identification cards to prioritize vehicles with QR Code which transport necessities, consume farm products, 9 fold increase comparing the figure last month (nearly 6,000 vehicles delivered agriculture products to sell at other provinces).

The issuance of identification card is done on software under instruction of Ministry of Transport so the Department of Transport assigns staff to be on duty regularly on computer to receive the submitted document so as to help timely ship the commodity to support Southern people and consume local longan, custard apples, pork, chicken...conveniently.
