While presenting the NA Standing Committee’s proposal during the legislature’s plenum on October 22, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the vote is based on Article 74 of the 2013 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Article 8 of the law No.57/2014/QH2013 on the organisation of the NA; Article 31 of the rules on NA sessions; and point 4 of Resolution No.34, dated October 6, 2018 of the eighth plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee.

The NA will also approve the removal of Truong Minh Tuan from the post of Minister of Information and Communications, and consider the appointment of a new minister.

NA Chairwoman Ngan suggested the lawmakers to meticulously study relevant personnel documents in order to cast informed votes.

National Assembly (NA) deputies discussed and essentially agreed with the scheduled agenda for the upcoming sixth meeting of the 14th legislature, during the afternoon session of the NA Standing Committee’s 28th meeting on October 16.
