Due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic, PGV encountered a lot of challenges in operation this year. In May and June, 70 percent of the labours suspended working for social distancing rule, thus many orders were delayed.

With the assistance from municipal competent agencies, PGV has quickly organized screening test and regular health checkup; administered Covid-19 vaccine to workers, arranged hand washing points, provided hand sanitizers and face masks as well as good nutrition in daily meals for labours so as to help them come back work.

Together with ensuring minimum salary for quarantined labours, PGV got instruction from local authority to promptly complete the formalities so that the labours can receive the financial aid per State policy and unemployment allowance.

Firmly keeping safe condition for production, PGV strictly controls over any one entering or leaving the company. All labours are requested to scan QR Code and make health declaration daily. The company set up Zalo group of officials and labours to communicate and educate the pandemic preventive awareness.

PGV also actively donates to local disease prevention and control such as presenting vaccine preservation cabinet worth 300 million VND to provincial Center of Disease Control, handing over 20 million VND to Dinh Tri commune together with many medical supplies to field hospitals and quarantine sites in the province.

Creating job and income to labours

PGV Director Sriram Nataraja said: “We exert all efforts on seeking new orders, maintaining and developing sustainable partnership relation to famous international brands of Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren… to ensure plentiful source of commodities and create stable jobs for labours”.

Labours get Covid-19 vaccination.

Now PGV creates job to thousands of local labours. Apart from paying average monthly income of 8.5 to 10 million VND per person and other regulated policies, the enterprise arranges buses to pick up labours from other districts and provides breakfast to the labours using bus service.

Moreover, PGV launches training programme “Personal development toward career promotion for female labours” which allows them join weekly lessons of communication skill, excellent working skill, time management skill, paying management skill…Particularly, the business also offers specific policy to pregnant workers and mothers of little children.
