Preferential loan benefits 7,700 customers affected by Covid-19 pandemic

(BGO) – According to the Bac Giang branch of the State Bank, amid the difficulties due to Covid-19 pandemic, all branches of commercial banks in Bac Giang province disbursed more than 3.5 trillion VND (153.6 million USD) as the loan for customers, making up total loan balance to over 64 trillion VND in the province.

To ensure the target of both disease prevention and control and production to gradually recover the growth rate per Government’s direction, the branches of commercial banks have recently offered preferential loans to 7,700 customers with lower interest than normal one (from0.5 to 2 percent per year) for loan balance of nearly 52 trillion VND as well as structured the payment time for 2,383 customers.

Apart from commercial banks, since July 2021, the Social Policy Bank Bac Giang branch has disbursed nearly 93 billion VND to 54 employers who are businesses to make a preferential loan with zero interest in line with Government’s Resolution No.68 on July 1, 2021 to regulate about implementation of some policies to support employers and employees getting difficulties by Covid-19 pandemic.
