Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort wins three international awards

Updated: 16:45, 04/11/2019
Distinctive location, design and services have won the Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort three prestigious international awards.

The property in Phu Quoc Island won Asia's Leading Villa Resort 2019 and Vietnam’s Leading Villa Resort 2019 at the World Travel Awards 2019 Asia & Oceania (WTA) in mid October. It was also named Asia Luxury Villa Resort at the World Luxury Hotel Awards (WLHA).

Designed by world-leading architects and managed by AccorHotels, Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort is located on the tip of Ong Doi Cape southwest of Phu Quoc, Vietnam's largest island.

Michael Hunter Smith, a representative of WLHA, said: "One month before the event, guests, travel agents and tour operators voted for 800 hotels around the world based on their experiences at the properties. We are not really the decision makers, the winners were selected based on an unbiased rating poll from actual guests."

Established over a year ago, the Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort, developed by Vietnam's Sun Group, features four villa categories: Rock Villas, Oceanview Villas, Beachfront Villas and Island Villas.

The resort also offers an extensive range of leisure facilities, including Plumeria Spa, a state of the art fitness centre, large scenic communal swimming pool and a Kid’s Club. In addition, there are two restaurants, two bars, and one Café Deli.

Each category has private swimming pool, a wide balcony, spacious living spaces and dining room areas plus a fully equipped kitchenette.

At the two prestigious awards ceremonies, five other luxury hotels and resorts developed by the Sun Group were among the winners, fulfilling the developer’s goal to create resort landmarks in Vietnam.

Alongside two other Sun Group projects, the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort and Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park, Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort’s three awards also highlight the rich potential of Phu Quoc Island, which is now officially on the global luxury tourism map.
