On the occasion, the businesses signed an agreement with the NFVC to sponsor children in special circumstances through the Fund. The Fund also organized auctions of items such as a goldfish pictures and pearl necklaces to give scholarships to needy children, as well as supporting the children of fishermen and soldiers on duty on the islands with the total value of sponsorship of over VND10 billion.

Over 1,000 scholarships worth VND2 million each and 1,000 gifts are expected to be presented through the programme to soldiers who are on duty in the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago and DK1 Platform, as well as fishermen in five central provinces and cities including Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, and Phu Yen.

According to Hoang Van Tien, Director of the NFVC, since its foundation, the Fund has mobilized nearly VND6 trillion in order to help over 30 million children living in difficult circumstances.
