Provincial General Hospital launches many activities to support poor patients
The amount was donated by kind-hearted people in the hospital and society in response to the calling from DSA to support patient Cuong.
Previously on March 17, 2021, Cuong was hospitalized with severe diagnose of infectious shock, acute pancreatitis, pneumonia, reduction of 3 blood cells. He was applied dialysis twice and did not conduct the third time because of the poverty while the patient was not covered by health insurance.

Cuong got married with three children, the oldest is 14 years old and the smallest is nearly 1 year old. His wife stays at home to take care of the kids and he worked as the main labour. Since the bad luck came, his family must mortgage the red book, sell the field to pay for his hospital charge. Later, Cuong was sent to treat at Central Hospital. Due to severe condition, he could not resist.
It was one of the activities to care for poor patient in the provincial General Hospital in which the DSA acts as the contact point for consultation and execution. In last January, the DSA called for donation to support nearly 10 million VND to another patient.
DSA Head Ngo Thi Kim Hong said the Division has closely coordinated with departments and divisions in the hospitals to timely know any disadvantaged case then connect and call for kind-hearted organization and people to provide assistance.
Besides, the Division also launches other activities of presenting free meals to patients on every Wednesday and Thursday in each department consecutively (more than 2,000 meals on average). Particularly, poor patients are provided with free medical meals while their carers receive free meals during the treatment time at the hospital.
“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted”. The good deed of officers, doctors at DSA in particular and provincial General Hospital in general is acknowledged by many patients and their families.
