Secretary of the district Party Committee Ta Huy Can reported that right after the successful organization of the Party Congresses at all levels in the district, the district Party Committee’s Standing Board worked with the Party Committees of communes and townships to orient the building of documents to concretize the resolutions. Besides, on the basis of the targets and tasks for 2020-2025 set by the district Party Congress, the district Party Committee has proactively developed an action plan to realize the Resolution of the Congress, focusing on achieving the target of turning the district into a fourth-tier urban area by 2030 and a town after 2030...
At the working session, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Anh Duong assessed that in recent years, Lang Giang has seen rapid and synchronous developments. However, the district’s awareness of development path is not really good. Therefore, it needs to clearly define the development path in the coming time.
He noted that the district needs to develop three pillars: industry, services and urban areas. Urban development should choose key areas and attach importance to the quality of urban areas, towards green urban areas. It should pay attention to perfecting the transport systems in key areas and connecting the key areas with the expressway, Ring Road 5 and neighboring districts.
In service development, it is necessary to call for investment planning, especially in the gateway area bordering Lang Son’s border gates. During the development process, Lang Giang must attach importance to cultural factors and building the image and brand of the district.
According to Lam Thi Huong Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council, the district should create material areas for processing enterprises. In the new-style rural construction, it is necessary to add the goal of meeting the advanced new-style rural area standards.
Regarding personnel work, she asked the district Party Committee’s Standing Board to create conditions for female cadres to be trained and challenged as Lang Giang is currently the only district without female officials who are members of the Standing Board.
Concluding the function, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van Thai acknowledged the achievements made by Lang Giang district in recent years. He emphasized that a developed industry will lead to the development of urban areas and services. In the coming time, the district should focus on directing the synchronous development in all three fields: industry, urban areas and services, with industrial development as the key.
To effectively perform this task, it requires the heads of the Party committees and authorities to change their mindset, dare to think, dare to do, and not shrink from difficulties. The Standing Board of the district Party Committee must have a high determination and create unity in leadership and direction.

He requested that in industrial development, the district must focus on well implementing the compensation and ground clearance, especially for transport, industrial, urban area and service projects. It needs to promote administrative reform and improve the business and investment environment and the quality of cadres, especially those at grassroots levels.
Lang Giang should step up the application of information technology and digital transformation, striving to be a leading district in implementing digital transformation. Regarding agricultural development, the district needs to focus on building new-style urban areas towards urban areas to create a premise for developing into a town after 2030.
Regarding the immediate tasks, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee asked the district to concentrate highly on effectively implementing the "dual tasks" of both preventing and combating the Covid-19 pandemic and boosting socio-economic development. It should lead and direct the successful organization of the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure.
