Realizing the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 34/2018 / QD-TTg dated August 10, 2018, on the functions, tasks, power and organizational structure of the General Department of Market Management, the provincial Market Management Sub-department was transferred to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Bac Giang provincial Department of Market Management was established. 

In order to improve the efficiency of market management in Bac Giang, the provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have jointly devised regulations, with following contents: making plans for specialized inspections and examinations, conducting specialized inspections and examinations, and handling administrative violations; organising local market management apparatus; personnel work; ensuring operation conditions of market management forces; and performing the tasks of the steering committee against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.

Speaking here, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Dang Hoang An said that Bac Giang is the key area. If it does management work well, it will prevent smuggled and fake goods and those with unknown origin from crossing the border into the domestic market. 

In the coming time, especially during the Lunar New Year 2019, the market will see many complex factors as smugglers use sophisticated tricks to evade authorized forces. While the market management staff is still few and equipment and facilities are insufficient, officers and supervisors need to improve the professional ethics and coordinate with other agencies and localities to strictly manage the market.

Agreeing with the opinions of the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Duong Van Thai suggested the ministry and the General Department of Market Management give timely guidance so that the provincial Department of Market Management can consolidate and stabilize its organization apparatus. 

He affirmed that the provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee will create favorable conditions for the department to fulfill its tasks, contributing to creating a healthy market, preventing trade fraud, and protecting the interests of consumers.
