Quang Binh to exploit flooding season with sailing tours
Oxalis Adventure, a popular operator of cave tours in Quang Binh's Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park, will survey flood-hit areas in Tan Hoa Commune for developing its new offering.

Tan Hoa is a highland commune in Minh Hoa District, about 70 km from Phong Nha-Ke Bang.
The hilly commune hosts corn fields and rice paddies; and has a slow pace of life.
The commune used to be among the most vulnerable places, but people in the flood-prone area began building floating houses to survive the flooding season.
The new tours will enable visitors to stay in "floating houses" and see how local residents deal with the annual occurrence. They can go kayaking and fishing in flooded areas; and cross streams to enter deep caves.
Provincial authorities are striving to boost local tourism following a two-year slump caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Last month, they licensed two private travel firms to offer paragliding services above the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
In the first nine months of this year, the central province received over 1.58 million visitors, up 189% from 2021.
