A representative from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang informed that to date, more than 14,000 ha of farming land has been exchanged in the province and the figure will be nearly 17,000 ha by the end of this year.

After the land exchange, the average number of land plots per household decreased significantly from 3-14 plots to 1.8-3 plots. Experience shows that in order to make the reallocation of agricultural land successful, there must be a drastic engagement of the whole political system. It is necessary to strongly promote the role and creativity of the Party committees with village leaders as the pioneers.

After the land exchange, the local authorities must immediately measure land plots and grant land use right certificates to farmers in association with the transformation of the crop structure. They should check, guide and promptly remove difficulties for farmers.

Regarding forest management and protection, from 2014 to 2016, the province built models of intensive timber forest planting and transforming small timber plantations to large ones on a total of 200 ha. Through watching, initially the trees grow better than normal forest planting.
