Residents of over 106,000 dilapidated houses receive support for new housing

As of February 14, local authorities have provided support for people living in more than 106,000 temporary and dilapidated houses to build new houses, moving closer to the goal of eliminating such housing by the end of 2025.

Of these, 61,557 houses have been completed while 44,632 units are under construction.

Leaders of Phu Rieng District, Binh Phuoc Province, break ground on houses for the poor.

Specifically, housing support for revolutionary contributors amounts to 8,560 houses. Of which, 3,754 houses have been completed and 4,806 are under construction.

Housing support under two national target programmes amounts to 51,970 houses. Of which, 32,687 houses have been completed and 19,283 are under construction.

Housing support under the programme for elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses amounts to 45,659 houses, with 25,116 houses completed and 20,543 under construction.

Statistics from November 2024 show that nationwide, approximately 315,000 households still face housing difficulties.

These households include various groups such as revolutionary contributors, beneficiaries of national target programmes, poor households, and near-poor households.
