Russia to issue e-visas for Vietnamese nationals

Russia has added Vietnam to a list of 55 countries whose nationals are eligible for a single-entry e-visa starting Tuesday along with Cambodia and Myanmar.

It allows people to enter Russia for various purposes and stay for a maximum of 16 days.

The visa is valid for 60 days from the date of issue.

Pham Thu Hang, a former deputy spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had said that Vietnam "supports measures to create favorable conditions for facilitating trade and travel for citizens of Vietnam and other countries."

Russia has also added Cambodia and Myanmar to the list.
