The school was opened by Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) in collaboration with the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association in Thai Nguyen and Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI).
The school, with an investment of 22 billion VND (950,000 USD), has been built with the hope of bringing comprehensive childhood development activities to children in the province.

The project is part of Samsung’s efforts to develop the province’s young generation. It also serves as an appreciation campaign for locals in areas where Samsung’s factory operates.
The school has been built with modern equipment and will create a harmonious learning system, consisting of classes (arts, music, information technology and languages), library, playground, cafeteria
Speaking at the ceremony, SEV’s General Director Shim Won Hwan said in addition to investing in business projects in Vietnam, Samsung has always paid attention to its social corporate responsibilities.

“We expect to bring the best to the Vietnamese people, particularly to those in Thai Nguyen, helping students achieve their dreams,” he said.
The project is the second of its kind in Vietnam to be sponsored entirely by Samsung. In 2013, the first Samsung Hope School worth 300,000 USD funded by donations from Samsung Electronics Korea employees, was inaugurated in the Red River Delta province of Bac Ninh, providing education to 200 students from the elementary level to high school. The SEV factory is located in the same area.
