Some 47,000 USD donated to Than Nhan Trung Study Encouragement Fund

(BGO)- Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students organized a ceremony on 22 July to receive Than Nhan Trung Study Encouragement Fund. This event was attended by Nguyen Van Linh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and representatives of the Department of Education and Training, Department of Construction and the sponsors.

Than Nhan Trung Study Encouragement Fund of Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students was established to reward outstanding students winning medals and certificates of merit at the regional and international contests, professors, associate professors, doctors and specialists who take part in nurturing Bac Giang’s students to win prizes at the regional and international competitions.

Since its establishment, Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students has gained outstanding achievements in training and nurturing excellent students. 

Particularly, many students have won high prizes in the regional and international contests such as Nguyen Minh Ngoc winning bronze medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad 1996, Le Ngoc Son, silver medalist at the International Mathematical Olympiad 2007, Nghiem Xuan Hung awarded certificate of merit at the Asian Physic Olympiad 2009 and Trinh Duy Hieu winning silver medals at the International Physic Olympiad (IPO) 2018 and 2019, gold medal at the Asian Physic Olympiad 2018 and silver medal at the Asian Physic Olympiad 2019.

Provincial Chairman Nguyen Van Linh gives flowers to representatives of donors for Than Nhan Trung Study Encouragement Fund of Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students.

In his speech, the provincial Chairman Nguyen Van Linh expressed his thanks to the enterprises for their attention and donation to build the funding resources supporting the province’s training of talents for the future. 

Besides, he requested the Department of Education and Training to promptly issue the decision to recognise the regulation on utilisation of Than Nhan Trung Study Encouragement Fund of Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students while paying regular attention and supervising use of the fund.

Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students was requested to continue mobilizing involvement of the society and organizations to support the fund while properly using the fund resources. He hoped the students of Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students would make ceaseless efforts and learn from their seniors to study and gain high achievements at the regional and international contests.

Teacher Nguyen Anh Tuan, Vice rector of Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students highly appreciated the due attention of the provincial leaders, leaders of the educational sector and donors. He promised the school would properly manage Than Nhan Trung Study Encouragement Fund and use for right beneficiaries.

On this occasion, the enterprise donated 1.1 billion VND (47,222 USD) to Than Nhan Trung Study Encouragement Fund of Bac Giang High School for Gifted Students.

Together with the colleagues, she handles every difficulty to complete the task. She was admitted to the Party in 2003.
