Son Dong: Over 36 billion VND invested in building environmental treatment system in livestock breeding areas
Accordingly, the company invested in upgrading the system of barns and the waste and wastewater treatment system using bio-technology and physicochemical treatment process. The treatment capacity is 410cu.m per day and night in the sow breeding area, and 990cu.m per day and night in the porker breeding area.
The environmental treatment area has just been invested by the Son Dong Livestock Company. |
At the same time, the company invested in fertilizer and sludge pressing machines and the technology of using yeast to mix food to remove pig manure odor. Under the technology, all gases from the barn are collected into a chamber and then treated with Biofix Enzymes.
The barns are fitted with an automatic mist and Biofix spraying system with 30 minutes per time and 10 minutes between two times to deodorize immediately after pig manure is discharged.
Previously, in 2019, the Son Dong Livestock Company was fined 540 million VND (23,400 USD) by the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee for discharging wastewater that failed to meet technical regulations, causing environmental pollution.
The company currently has two farms for raising porkers and sows with a scale of about 24,000 heads. This technology will thoroughly treat odors and gases from livestock breeding, thus minimizing emissions into the environment.
