In the morning, Nam only needed 62 minutes to beat German No. 6 seed Robert Strombachs 6-4 6-2 in the men’s singles quarterfinals, thereby booking his berth in the semis. Later in the afternoon, Nam coupled with Roman Safiullin of Russia to progress to the finale of the men’s doubles.

The Vietnamese player, who is the tournament’s No. 3 seed, continues to show his impressive form without losing a set in the singles event.
In the match this morning, underdog 19-year-old German Strombachs (No. 621 in the ATP rankings) played well in the first few games but could not hold his advantages in game 7. Nam took the opportunity to take the only break point in the first set and went on to win 6-4.
In the second set, 21-year-old Nam soon earned two break points to lead 3-0. Strombachs reclaimed a break point in the next game but that was not enough to stop Nam from advancing. After 29 minutes, the Tay Ninh native won 6-2 in the second set.

The couple from Taiwan won 6-1 in the first set, but Nam and Safiullin quickly fought back to earn a 6-3 victory in the second set, forcing the game into a super tie-break. The last game was tense but Nam and his Russian partner proved their quality to win 10-8, thus earning a ticket to the final against Francis Casey Alcantara - Markus Eriksson the following afternoon.
