Total retail sales of goods and service revenue increase sharply
BAC GIANG - Total retail sales of goods and service revenue in January 2025 are estimated at over 6 trillion VND (about 250.7 million USD) in the northern province of Bac Giang, up 9.9% over the same period.
Of which, total retail sale of goods is estimated at over 4.4 trillion VND, up 10.5% over the same period. Service revenue in January is estimated at over 1.58 trillion VND, up 8.2% year on year.

The sharp increase was gained thanks to the recovered economy; hence people are buying more goods to meet the needs of the Lunar New Year.
The groups of goods that are consumed strongly include technology products, household appliances, fashion, and electronics among others. It is expected that from now until the 29th of Tet, the demand for goods will increase dramatically.
To ensure supply, since the beginning of November 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with sectors and enterprises to supply reserve goods for sale to the market; strengthen control and handle acts of trading in prohibited, fake, counterfeit, and poor-quality goods, ensure market stability, food hygiene and safety so as to help people have a happy Tet holiday.
