Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang provincial People's Committee Mai Son presents flowers to the RoK Embassy on the occasion of the New Year 2021.

At the meeting, Mai Son briefed on the province's socio-economic development in the past year and affirmed that the results were obtained thanks to a significant contribution from Korean businesses. He said that over the past years, Bac Giang province has focused on directing and effectively implementing tasks and solutions to promote cooperation with the RoK in the fields of trade and investment.

He asked the Korean Embassy in Vietnam to pay more attention to supporting Bac Giang province in accessing the RoK’s ODA loans and non-governmental aid, especially considering the provision of ODA of the RoK Government to the province to implement the project on planning a smart urban area in Bac Giang city and functional areas.

The embassy should continue to introduce Korean investors and partners to Bac Giang to explore investment and business cooperation opportunities in the province, as well as share policies and experience in investment attraction and state management in this field, he said, suggesting it help Bac Giang to connect and establish local-level cooperation with a Korean locality.

The provincial official also urged the Korean Government and the embassy to support the province in preserving woodblocks at Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and help develop the Vietnam-Korea Technology Vocational College into a high-quality key school in terms of facilities and equipment.

For his part, Jeong Woo Jin affirmed that the Korean Government always attaches great importance to the cooperation between the two countries. The Korean Embassy is always ready to help solve difficulties and act as a bridge to introduce businesses to Bac Giang. He said that the RoK Government will continue to pay attention to encouraging Korean enterprises to invest in Bac Giang, and create conditions for the province’s workers to get vocational training and have opportunities to work in Korean firms.

The Deputy Ambassador emphasized that in the coming time, the embassy will actively support the province, especially creating conditions for experts from the two countries to exchange experience in conservation and promotion of cultural heritage.

On the occasion of the New Year 2021, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Mai Son wished the leaders and staff of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam good health. He hoped the bilateral collaboration will further develop in the future.
