Viet Yen builds overpass and expand national road No.1’s frontage

(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Viet Yen district (Bac Giang province) has mobilized over 278 billion VND (11.8 million USD) from the local budget to invest in building the overpass of national road No. 1 to link the belt road No.4 to the internal road of Quang Chau industrial park as well as expand the national road No.1’s frontage. 

The frontage road is constructed with total cost of nearly 100 billion VND (4.2 million USD).

According to Do Van Hung, Director of Management Board for the Construction and Investment Project in Viet Yen district, the project helps solve the traffic overload and congestion at the industrial parks because the current frontage’s surface is only 5 meter in width on average.

The frontage on the right of national road No.1 (Bac Giang - Hanoi) is nearly 9.2 km with 2 sections: 4.4 km from the intersection of Noi Hoang Km121+796.38 to Dinh Tram Km 126+273.04 and over 4.7 km from the intersection of Sen Ho – Truc Tay road Km 126+900 to the connection point to the national road No.1 to Nhu Nguyet bridge.

The frontage is designed in line with the standard for urban road with the total width of 11.5 meter, surface of 10.5 meters, concrete road structure.

Tan Thinh Construction Company Limited is the constructing contractor to execute the project in expected plan of 20 months.

The People’s Committee of Viet Yen district as the investor will actively expedite and facilitate the the construction so as to complete the project and put in use late this year.
