Viet Yen district recognized as new rural district

(BGO) – On behalf of the Government Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of Steering Board for the National Target Programmes Vuong Dinh Hue on November 8 inked the dossier to recognize Viet Yen district in Bac Giang province as new rural district in 2018.

Viet Yen is the first district among 10 administrative localities at the district level in the province and the 56 districts in the country qualified with new rural area standard while Bac Giang is the 29 out of 63 Center governed provinces and cities having new rural district.

After nearly 8 years of implementing new style area, Viet Yen district has completed the contents of building new rural communes and district thanks to the great efforts and consensus from the whole political system and local residents. The average annual income reaches over 36 million VND (over 1,500 USD) per person, 7 million VND higher than the that of the rural area across the nation.

Additionally, 100 percent of the communes are equipped with entertainment facilities and sports practice while 154 out of 154 hamlets of 17 out of 17 communes have cultural house, sports hall and area for public activities. The temporary and damaged houses were eliminated in the district. The political systems at the communal level and residential areas are regularly reinforced and consolidated. The political and public security condition are firmly secured and stabilized locally.

The district is home to 75 cooperatives with the effective business operation and high annual revenue such as Minh Tam Combined Agriculture Cooperative with annual benefit of over 15 billion VND (about 644,000 USD); Khang Thinh Hi-tech, Agricultural Service and Trading Cooperative with yearly benefit of 6 billion VND (over 257,000 USD) among others.

The cooperatives have taken the first step to set up linkage chains between enterprises and farmers to stabilize the product output and gradually expand the scale of production, business and consumption market to the adjacent provinces as well as target at exporting the product to international markets.

New rural area, new vitality
(BGO) – “New rural area, new vitality" is not just a slogan, but really brings a new lease of life to every village. Being the first new rural district of Bac Giang province, Viet Yen is flourishing from this revolution.
 
OCOP programme - solution to develop new-style rural areas
Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Central Steering Committee for National Target Programmes, Vuong Dinh Hue, ran an article on the implementation of the “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) programme, one of the important solutions in restructuring agriculture and developing new-style rural areas.
 
Nearly 3,500 communes recognised as new-style rural areas
As many as 3,478 communes, equivalent to nearly 39% of the total number of communes nationwide, have been recognized as new-style rural areas, following the 10-year implementation of the Resolution of the seventh session of the 10th National Congress of the Party on agriculture, farmers and rural areas.
 
Viet Yen district qualifies for recognition as a new-style rural area
(BGO) - The provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province held a conference to discuss and vote to ask for recognition of Viet Yen district as a new-style rural area. Duong Van Thai, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee chaired the conference.

The implementation of the 10th Party Central Committee’s Resolution 26-NQ/TW on agriculture, farmers and rural areas in the past decade has brought about marked achievements, said Politburo member and head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh.
 
Efforts urged to build new-style rural areas in disadvantaged villages
Deputy Prime Minister, Vuong Dinh Hue, chaired a national conference in the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien on July 27, to discuss the programme on building new-style rural areas in disadvantaged hamlets and villages nationwide.
