Vietnam, Japan honour traditional silk, brocade weaving

The event aims to honor Vietnamese artists, traditional craft villages and famous silk and brocade weaving destinations, as well as Japan’s silk products, with the intent of contributing to the development of traditional silk and brocade weaving in Vietnam.
There are a series of activities, including an exhibition of the latest products of leading brands from Vietnam and Japan and a symposium on the conservation and development of traditional silk and brocade weaving.
In addition, fashion shows featuring silk clothing created by Vietnamese and Japanese designers and the Kimono, a traditional Japanese garment, will be held within the event.
The Japan Cultural Day in Quang Nam and the 16th Hoi An-Japan Cultural Exchange are being jointly organized in Hoi An city from August 17-19 by the provincial People’s Committee, the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, and agencies, organizations and businesses in Quang Nam and Japan.
