Vietnam records best ever performance at Maths and Science Olympiad

All of Vietnam’s 23 pupils won medals at the 2018 International Maths and Science Olympiad (IMSO), the country’s best ever performance at the annual competition for school pupils under 13.

This year’s contest was held in Hangzhou, China from September 28 to October 4 and drew the participation of 400 pupils with 25 teams from 22 countries and territories.
According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Vietnam will be the host of IMSO 2019.
Asian Physics Olympiad gold medallist: Reward for endless efforts
(BGO) - The organising board of the 19th Asian Physics Olympiad announced the results on May 12 in Hanoi. All eight members of the Vietnamese team won medals, including four gold, two silver and two bronze medals. Trinh Duy Hieu, an 11th grade student of a physics class in the Bac Giang High School for the Gifted bagged a gold medal.

Seven Vietnamese students won one gold, four silver and two bronze medals at the 2018 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO), an online programming competition hosted by Hong Kong (China).
