The batch was imported by Kuala Lumpur-based Billyan Global Resources (BGR) and Vietnam’s Hanoi Trade Corporation (Hapro).
Acknowledging of the high demand for the fruits on the first promoting day, BGR decided to increase the import quantity of Vietnamese lychees to serve Kuala Lumpur market and the adjacent states such as
As scheduled, 20 more lychee containers, each weighing about 10 tonnes, will be delivered to Malaysia for consumption soon.
Previously, the imported Vietnamese lychees also became a popular sell in the Malaysian city of Klang in 2015. Apart from Malaysia, the fruits have also been present in several demanding markets of the US, Australia, Japan, and Europe.
William Tan, BGR Director said he wants to introduce Vietnamese lychees to the local consumers after personally enjoying its delicious and juicy taste, believing that the fruit will be widely preferred.

Vietnamese Commercial Counsellor in Malaysia Pham Quoc Anh said the Vietnamese Trade Office has actively cooperated with domestic and Malaysian authorities and enterprises to bring Vietnamese lychees and various staples like fruits, vegetables, seafood, and processed foods to Malaysia.
Though Malaysia is a facile market, Pham Quoc Anh advised Vietnamese enterprises to improve their product design, quality, and delivery standards to increase their market share in Malaysia with the best possible facilitation from the Vietnamese Trade Office.
