Vietnamese startup wins Startup World Cup 2019 Champion

Vietnamese startup Abivin, which provides AI-powered Supply Chain Optimisation, has been confirmed as the winner of the Startup World Cup 2019 Champion with US$1 million worth of investment prize.

The Ministry of Science and Technology said that Abivin, the only representative from Vietnam, surpassed candidates from more than 40 countries across the world to become the winner of the Startup World Cup 2019 Champion which concluded in San Francisco on May 17.

With the result, Abivin contributes to confirming changes in the quality of innovative startups in Vietnam.

Abivin won the first prize at the Vietnam Innovative Technopreneur Contest held in December 2018 and became a representative of Vietnam to attend the Startup World Cup 2019 Champion.

Abivin is trained and matured by the Finland – Vietnam Innovation Partnership Programme Phase 2 (IPP2) and operated by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Founder of Abivin, Pham Nam Long, said that Abivin intends to use the investment to continue to boost R&D for its AI-powered logistics optimisation solutions in addition to expanding its markets outside Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and entering the foreign markets of Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and others.

The Startup World Cup is organised by Fenox Venture Capital, a Silicon Valley-based global venture capital firm.
