Vietnamese students win four golds at science competition

Vietnamese students have won four gold medals at an international science competition held in Bogor, Indonesia, according to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

The 39-strong Vietnamese team also brought home ten silver medals, 14 bronze medals and 11 consolation prizes.

The team consisted of students from two junior secondary schools, Trung Vuong and Ngo Si Lien, in Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem district.

The International Science Competition consisted of team and individual competitions.

In the individual competition, students had to answer 30 multiple-choice questions and complete a written test within 90 minutes while the team competition required the students to program their robot to fulfil the mission of rescuing an injured bear.

Four Vietnamese students from Trung Vuong School also won the gold cup for the best performance in the robot competition.
