Vietnamese students brought home two silver and one bronze medals at the 2022 European Physics Olympiad, the Vietnam Physics Society (VPS) announced on May 25.
Specifically, Nguyen Tuan Phong from the Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted in the northern province of the same name, and Pham Trung Kien from the Tran Phu High School for the Gifted in the northern city of Hai Phong won the silver medals.

Meanwhile, the bronze medal was grabbed by Le Thuy Mai Anh from the Ha Long High School for the Gifted in the northern province of Quang Ninh.
This year, Vietnam sent five students to the competition, who had been selected by the VPS from those winning prizes at the national physics competition.
This year’s competition was held in Slovenia, drawing the participation of 182 contestants from 37 nations.
Last year, Vietnamese students brought home one gold and one bronze.
Bac Giang ranks eight nationwide for total prizes awarded at national contest for excellent students

– The Quality Management Agency (Ministry of Education and Training) has
announced the result of national contest for excellent students in academic
year 2021 – 2022. 66 out of 90 students in Bac Giang province are prized,
helping the province rank eight nationwide for the total gained prizes. It was
the first time the province has had highest number of awarded students since
the provincial re-establishment.
13-year-old student named Vietnam's youngest writer of fiction in English
Nguyen Hanh Phuong, a 13-year-old student in Hanoi, has been named by the Vietnam Record Association, Vietkings, as Vietnam's youngest writer to have penned a fiction in English and released it as a bilingual English-Vietnamese series with her novel entitled ‘Star Team: A Quest for the Greatest Power.’
Vietnamese students in US celebrate Tet
Nearly 200 Vietnamese students and youths living across the US gathered at a Lunar New Year (Tet) celebration in New York on February 5 evening (or February 6 morning – Vietnam time).
