Bac Giang ranks eight nationwide for total prizes awarded at national contest for excellent students

(BGO) – The Quality Management Agency (Ministry of Education and Training) has announced the result of national contest for excellent students in academic year 2021 – 2022. 66 out of 90 students in Bac Giang province are prized, helping the province rank eight nationwide for the total gained prizes. It was the first time the province has had highest number of awarded students since the provincial re-establishment.

There included one first, 17 second, 30 third and 18 consolidation prizes. Hoang Thanh Huyen in 12th grader specializing in Chinese at the Bac Giang High School for the Gifted won first ever prize at this subject since the foundation of Chinese class at the school.

This year, the prize quality of Bac Giang increased comparing to the result of national contest for excellent students at previous years (first prize in Chinese this year while the highest result was second prize in academic year 2020 – 2021).

There are one more second prize and 14 more third prizes. The subjects with most of prized candidates included Chemistry (9 prizes), History (9 prizes), Literature (8 prizes), Physics (7 prizes), Maths (6 prizes), Geography (6 prizes), Biology (6 prizes).

Local students gained 5 prizes in Chinese, 4 prizes in English and Informatics individually, 2 prizes in France. All six members of Maths team are prized with four second, one third and one consolidation prizes.

(BGO) – Student Nguyen Duc Trung at Ethnic Drama Faculty, Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema who was born in Song Mai commune, Bac Giang city, Bac Giang province has won third prize at Vietnam Quintessense video making contest launched by the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for his work “Returning to the land of Quan ho”.

Nearly 500 million VND and 856 devices donated to support impoverished students’ online studying
(BGO) – In response of “Internet and computers for students” Programme launched by the Prime Minister, as of October 31, the Division of Education and Training in the districts and city, educational establishments under the Department of Education and Training and the Trade Union in the educational sector in Bac Giang province called for donation of nearly 500 million VND (22,100 USD) and 856 online studying devices to present to disadvantaged students.
