Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc, stressed that vocational education plays an important role in the economic development of a country, as it helps to supply human resources for the labour market.
He said that the success and development of vocational training are attributed to many factors, including the contributions of teachers and managers working in the field.
According to the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, there are more than 37 vocational education institutions in the city, which provide nearly 125,000 skilled workers to the labour market every year.
