Anh got the ranking after becoming the youngest winner of the event for amateur male golfers at Vietnam MatchPlay Championship which, together with the VPG Tour MatchPlay Championship, was held at Long Thanh Golf Course in the southern province of Dong Nai in late December.

A total of 32 amateur male golfers, 16 professional golfers, eight middle-aged golfers and eight female players competed in final rounds of the tournaments.

Japanese Vietnamese Hanako Kawasaki claimed victory in the women’s category. Nguyen Duy Hai won the middle-aged golfers’ event of the Vietnam MatchPlay Championship. Tran Le Duy Nhat won the VPG Tour MatchPlay Championship’s professional event.

WAGR, which comprises a women’s ranking (WWAGR) and a men’s ranking (MWAGR) for elite amateur players, is offered by The R&A and the United States Golf Association as a global service to golf.

Through incorporation and assessment worldwide of both amateur and professional events, WAGR encourages the international development of the competitive game.

WAGR endeavours to be the most comprehensive and accurate ranking in golf by effectively comparing players from around the world who may never directly compete against one another.

APGS golf summit opens in central Da Nang city

The Asian Pacific Golf Summit (APGS) began on November 15 with the participation of many leading golf operators, speakers, and managers of world golf groups in central Da Nang city.

 

Vietnam Ladies’ amateur golf champs 2017 slated for December

Some 80 golfers will compete at the Ladies’ National Amateur Golfer Championship  (LNAGC) 2017, which begins at FLC Quy Nhon Golf Links in the central coastal province of Binh Dinh on December 7.

 

Vietnam champions at int’l golf tournament

The Vietnamese team was crowned for the first time at the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) which ended on November 25 in Malaysia.

 

Inter-ministerial delegation works with Bac Giang Province about golf course and resort project

(BGO) - On March 26th, an interministerial delegation led by Nguyen Hoang Hai - Director General of Service Economy Department (under the Ministry of Planning & Investment), made a field trip and worked with Provincial People’s Committee about Bac Giang’s golf course and resort project. Golf tournament of OVs in Czech attracts large number of players

As many as 320 overseas Vietnamese (OV) from 11 European countries have competed in the Czech Open Golf Tournament under the European Vietnamese Golf Association (EVGA) Tour Championship 2018.
