The event is held by the Vietnam Tennis Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang and the Da Nang Tennis Federation.

The 2019 National Tennis Youth Championship - VTF Junior 2019 Tour 3 gathers 248 players from 23 delegations across the country.

The competition gathers 190 players competing in single events and 58 others in the doubles. They are competing in 14 events, including men’s and boys’ singles for U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 players, women's and girls’ singles for U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18, men’s doubles for U14 and U18 women’s doubles for U14 and U18.

According to Truong Quang Vu, deputy head of the Organising Committee, the tournament aims to create conditions for young athletes to exchange and improve their professional abilities, while also evaluating and selecting the best players to the national teams. It is also to promote and encourage the tennis movement across the nation.

The tournament will last until August 10.
