The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development forecasted about a bumper lychee harvest season with estimated output of 160 - 170,000 tonnes. Due to extended cold weather condition, the lychee is ripe 10 day later than previous season.

Now, Phuc Hoa commune (Tan Yen district) and some communes of Hong Giang, Thanh Hai, Tan Moc (Luc Ngan district) are harvesting early ripe lychee which is sold at 20-30,000 VND per kg depending on the fruit type.

The main season lychee is harvested in the middle of June till July 25.
