23 tonnes of commodities and vegetables donated to pandemic hit people in Hanoi

(BGO) – With the spirit “Whole nation for Bac Giang, Bac Giang for the whole nation”, the Red Cross Society in Bac Giang province has launched a campaign to donate neccessities for Hanoi city to fight against Covid-19 pandemic from August 23 to September 30.

So far, all units of the provincial Red Cross Society have called for donation of 23 tonnes of commodities, food, dried food stuff, vegetables, root, fruits and 200 boxes of instant noodle, which were delivered to Hanoi city to timely support difficult cases, mostly free labours losing their jobs due to the pandemic.

Particularly, the Red Cross Society in Tan Yen district called for donation of nearly 10 tonnes of vegetables, taro, sweet potatoes, pumpkin...via social network of facebook and zalo to transport to Hanoi city.

In two previous donation campaigns from July 19 to August 22, all units of provincial Red Cross Society called for officials, members and people to donate 30 tonnes of food and neccessities to support Southern localities to fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
