27 clubs join National Badminton Tourney 2020 in Bac Giang

(BGO) – Vietnam Sports Administration on June 6 coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Bac Giang province to open the National Badminton Tourney 2020 for the Clubs in the provinces, cities and sectors across the country to compete Thanh Cong Cup at the provincial Sport Competition Hall (the South urban area in Bac Giang city).

This year event drew 27 clubs with over 200 athletes, 30 of whom come from Bac Giang province to compete in men’s singles, women’s single, men’s doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

The players compete in in 5 different age groups ranging from less than 30 years old, 31 – 40 years old, 41 – 45 years old, 46 – 50 years old and 51 – 55 years old.

The clubs join the tourney.

The daily competition time starts at 8 am and 7pm at the newly inaugurated provincial Sports Competition Hall with the capacity of more than 4,000 seats.

The tourney is the chance for the clubs for meeting, experience exchanging and sharing as well as enhancing the solidarity toward mutual development.

(BGO) – The Bac Giang born player Vu Thi Trang (world No 74) on August 20 made big surprise at the Badminton World Championship 2019 held in the Switzerland after defeating No.15 seed Line Kjaersfeldt of Denmark (world No 17) to secure the ticket to third round of the women’s singles.
Bac Giang team wins 9 medals at National Badminton, Table Tennis Championship for Families
(BGO) – The National Badminton and Table Tennis Championship for Families in 2019 was jointly organized by Vietnam Sports Administration and the Department of Culture and Sports in Thua Thien Hue province, drawing 328 athletes from 31 provinces, cities and sectors across the nation.
