5 projects win first prize at provincial science and technology competition

BAC GIANG - The Department of Education and Training on the afternoon of December 20 announced the results of the Provincial Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2023-2024 academic year, including 5 First prizes, 15 Second prizes, 20 Third prizes and 31 Consolation prizes.

The First Prize went to the projects: Building a set of indicators to evaluate the influence of social networking platforms on the lifestyle, learning and career orientation of high school students by the group of inventors Trinh Duc Minh, Rihova Thuy Anh from Ngo Si Lien High School (Bac Giang City); Researching and manufacturing drug carrier materials based on Gd-doped Fe3O4 nanoparticles coated with SiO2 by a group of inventors Dang The Lam, Tran Quang Huy from Ngo Si Lien High School (Bac Giang City); Support system for early stroke detection by the group of inventors Nguyen Dao Phuong Thuy, Pham Huu Tung Bach from Bac Giang High School for the Gifted; Vhitech robot equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) supports patients in medical examination and treatment by inventor Trinh Ngo Trung from Thai Thuan High School (Bac Giang City); Anti-robbery solution for gold, silver and gemstone shops by group of inventors Duong Duc Minh, Hoang Ha Thao from Bac Giang High School for the Gifted.

These are typical projects highly evaluated by the Jury for the scientific and practical research methods, good presentation and answering skills from candidates.

The contest took place on December 19 and 20 at Bac Giang High School for the Gifted. This is the 12th school year that the Department of Education and Training has organized this competition.

The contest lured 100 projects in 15 fields by 191 inventors and groups of inventors representing 58 educational institutions (42 high schools, 6 vocational education centers – regular education establishments and 10 education and training divisions at the districts and cities), an increase of 31 projects compared to the previous season.

The content of projects revolves around issues related to social and behavioral sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, plant science, robots and intelligent machines and system software. ...

Among the winning projects, the Department of Education and Training will select 4 typical projects to participate in the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students to be scheduled in March 2024 in Bac Giang province.
