50,000 remaining North-South train tickets for Tet holiday

Nearly 50,000 train tickets on the North-South route for the upcoming Lunar New Year 2019 (Tet) holiday are now available, said the Hanoi Railway Transport JSC (Haraco).

A total of about 230,000 train tickets have been sold already, of which 190,000 are on the North-South route.

Meanwhile, tickets on peak days from January 28 to February 2, 2019 (from the 23rd to 29th day of the 12th lunar month), and on February 9-12 (between the fifth and eighth day of the new lunar year), are sold out.

In the calendar New Year, Haraco will arrange an additional 15 trains for inter-provincial routes from Hanoi to Dong Hoi, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, and Hai Phong.

Passengers are advised to visit the company’s new ticket sales portal vetauonline.vn to purchase suitable tickets at reasonable prices.

According to initial plans, a total of 300,000 seats will be available for the 2019 Lunar New Year holiday.
